Zacco awarded Nordic Firm of the Year 2025 by Managing IP
11 April 2025
Zacco has received the award for Nordic Firm of the Year 2025 for Patent and Trademark Attorney Firms from Managing IP.
The award recognises the talent and capability found across the Zacco group, and the researchers regularly acknowledge the integral part played by each area of expertise including patents, trademarks, designs, digital branding and domains. Regional Awards such as the Nordic Firm of the Year for Zacco, recognise the increasing importance of combining these services, and the collective benefit of integrating both physical and digital registration, protection and enforcement within a growing portfolio.
The result was announced at the Managing IP EMEA Annual Awards, which were held in London on Thursday 10th April 2025. Attending the ceremony and accepting the award on behalf of all of Zacco were CEO Antonio Marsico, Chief Marketing Officer Karin Kärvling Søholt, Group HR Director Nicola Edwards and Marketing Strategy and Content Coordinator James Kogan.
The competition within the European and Nordic markets is very strong, and we are proud to count ourselves amongst the many capable firms and talented peers within the fields of Intellectual Property, Digital Brand and Cybersecurity. Claiming the top spot in the Nordics and the impact case for Sweden, amongst so many of the great firms and cases shortlisted, is independent confirmation of Zacco’s work in developing solutions able to anticipate and address the needs of our client’s physical and digital markets. Such solutions are only possible because of our commitment to close collaboration across borders, the ability of our expert colleagues to push the boundaries of innovation, and the confidence placed in us by our clients when they entrust us to manage and develop what are often their most valuable assets.
We are also pleased to share a very personal congratulations to Michael Bystrom and his team, who have won the award for Sweden Impact Case of the Year for their work on PMÄ 7804-24. In the case, Michael successfully represented a pharmaceutical client in court, and the result has meant that some existing SPC holders, not granted the maximum five years, may now apply for an additional day of protection.
Antonio Marsico commented: “We are delighted to be recognised with these awards, and I am so proud of the work that we have accomplished together within Zacco. This truly is recognition of the whole team, all 500 of us, for their hard work, dedication, and the insight and guidance that they are able deliver to our clients. Each and every one of them, across the globe, has played a part in our success and this award is for them as much as for Zacco!”
We would like to thank our great clients, for your very positive feedback and for continuing to place your trust in us, and to those of you who work in with Intellectual Property, for your positive peer reviews and for continuing to inspire us to be the best that we can be. We remain proud of the work that we deliver, and of the organisations that we support, and none of this would be possible without our people.
